Testimony of a young single parent
Emilie is a 26 year old single mother. She had the kindness to show us her appreciation for certain of our services, by giving us her testimony despite her emotions. “L’Actuel helped me so much that I am really touched and I feel like crying,” she said to us with tearful eyes. “It is so hard being a single mother at age 26, I even have a hard time saying it.”
We felt her nervousness with the flow of her voluble words. She said she suffered a depression after eight years of working in a bakery and is now followed by the CSSS and a psychologist.
“L’Actuel really helped me, even when I was pregnant. I also benefited from the volunteer nanny. My baby fell asleep on her, on my first encounter with this service. It reassured me. I had no gift for my baby at Christmas, but L’Actuel helped me spoil him, like every parent wants to do. »
